Second Year of Vascular Surgery Fellowship
The second year of the vascular surgery fellowship program is primarily designed to bring the skills gained in the first year to an independent practice level for the vast majority of the 12-month rotations. This is accomplished by imparting a greater degree of responsibility with more self-directed instructions.
This new level of independence is expected to be exercised in the operating room, while performing endovascular interventions, as well as during open vascular operations and handling inpatient consultations.
Basic science and clinical research opportunities remain available based on fellow’s interest in developing an academic curriculum.
